MISTAFF is a collaborative effort of the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators, Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators, Michigan Association of School Boards, Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association, and Michigan School Public Relations Association.

About the Role

We are seeking passionate educators to fill various teaching positions across Michigan K-12 schools. These roles provide an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives through alternative certification pathways.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Assess and record student progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and administrators.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices in teaching and learning.
• Participate in departmental and school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other required school activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Commitment to pursuing alternative certification in education (e.g., through Michigan’s alternative route programs).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.
