Payroll Auditor

Responsibilities

• Collect and summarize timekeeping information.
• Audit time keeping records and resolves variances utilizing tools in the Time and Attendance, Payroll, and ticketing systems.
• Obtain supervisor approval of timecard discrepancies.
• Update employee payroll records as needed.
• Properly document all discrepancies within timekeeping audits.
• Track and maintain records for analytics.
• Perform other work-related tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the principles and practices of payroll.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as company policies and procedure manuals, payroll laws, system requirements.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Office programs, HRIS, Payroll systems.
• Detailed orientation and require minimum supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Dress neatly and professionally for the office environment.

Job Requirements

• Must be able to obey safety instructions, rules, policy and procedures and use provided and installed safety devices and safety equipment.
• An employee is responsible for notifying his/her immediate supervisor of a violation or deficiency in safe and healthful working condition.

Compensation

From $20.00-$23.00 an hour.

Education and Specifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 1-2 years of relative work experience in a payroll department or customer service.

Work Environment

• Office setting with climate-controlled temperature, adequate lighting, and minimal health/safety hazard.
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
