Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
  • High School Diploma or GED and two additional years of relevant experience may be substituted
  • Coursework or training in payroll administration, accounting, taxation, or financial reconciliation
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field is preferred
  • Advanced coursework or certification related to payroll, taxation, accounting, or auditing is preferred
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
  • Three (3) years of payroll, accounting, finance, tax administration, reconciliation, or related experience
  • Experience performing payroll balancing, account reconciliations, payroll tax activities, deductions administration, or financial analysis
  • Experience administering payroll taxes, garnishments, retirement deductions, and payroll compliance activities in a multi state environment is preferred
  • Experience supporting audits, regulatory reporting, payroll system implementations, or process improvement initiatives is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to manage payroll processing independently and supervise clerical staff
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and discretion in handling confidential data
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic proficiency with Excel
  • Basic proficiency with a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Outlook and Word
  • Proficiency with UltiPro payroll and reporting system preferred
  • Ability to prioritize work, handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, and complete projects in a fast-paced environment
