This role supports global payroll operations within a large, international organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a seamless employee experience. The position focuses on managing end-to-end payroll activities, validating employee data, and maintaining high operational standards. You will collaborate with HR, Finance, operations teams, and external partners to deliver timely and reliable payroll services.
Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll activities accurately and within established deadlines.
- Validate payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, salary updates, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and other employee changes.
- Review timesheets, attendance records, and payroll-related data in collaboration with HR and operational teams.
- Perform payroll reconciliations, variance analysis, and final validation before payroll approval.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance teams, and external payroll providers to ensure successful payroll completion.
- Generate payroll reports, funding reports, dashboards, and other operational documentation.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate payroll information and documentation.
- Manage payroll-related issues, including garnishments, deductions, tax requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Monitor service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational metrics to support continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders while delivering a customer-focused payroll service.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality standards, and payroll governance requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognized university in any relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in end-to-end payroll processing, with strong knowledge of US payroll operations.
- Experience managing multi-country payroll processes, including benefits, tax deductions, HR operations, and time management systems.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, statutory regulations, compliance requirements, and operational controls.
- Experience working with enterprise payroll systems such as ADP EV5, Global View, SAP, Workday, or ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of payroll reconciliations, garnishments, levies, tax processes, and payroll reporting.
- Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and resolve payroll-related issues effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with global stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information responsibly.
- Experience supporting audits, process improvements, and payroll governance initiatives.
