About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Administrator to join our U.S. Payroll team. In this role, you will report directly to the Payroll Manager and play a vital part in ensuring our employees across multiple states are paid accurately and punctually. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and relevant payroll experience.
  • Experience processing payroll using automated payroll and timekeeping systems.
  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll processing and compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
  • Working knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and other applicable regulations.
  • Experience with Prevailing Wage and Certified Payroll is preferred.
  • Payroll certification such as Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • Experience with enterprise payroll systems like Oracle HRMS, Oracle Time & Labor, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Reside in Arizona, as this is a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll transactions including employee direct deposits, tax updates, and payroll data changes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Audit payroll reports and data entry to identify discrepancies and resolve issues prior to payroll processing.
  • Research and respond to employee payroll inquiries, providing timely and professional assistance.
  • Manage the Payroll Manual Timecard inbox, review requests for completeness, and enter approved manual timecard corrections.
  • Prepare, process, and distribute manual payroll checks, reversals, and payroll adjustments as needed.
  • Provide backup support for Certified Payroll and Prevailing Wage administration tasks.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records through diligent data entry, document management, and filing systems.
  • Assist with payroll balancing, reconciliation, and quality control activities to ensure data integrity.
  • Develop and update payroll documentation, standard operating procedures, and process workflows to promote operational consistency.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Benefits, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll-related questions and ensure seamless processing.
  • Support payroll process improvements by contributing to the enhancement of procedures and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Perform additional payroll and administrative duties as assigned to support team objectives.
