Essential Job Functions

  • Will be the first point of contact for an employee in relation to the time attendance and payroll questions.
  • Responsible for collecting, calculating and entering data (both by manual entry and use of various import files).
  • Process payroll new hires, terminations/layoffs and other notice of changes.
  • Manage direct deposits, benefit withholding, payroll deductions, paid leave, vacation and the monitoring of employee’s hour compliance.
  • Prepare monthly union reports.
  • Provide support to the other Accounting Department employees.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years prior payroll processing experience, large volume
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Must have prior payroll experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a structured and efficient manner
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee and company information
