Essential Job Functions
- Will be the first point of contact for an employee in relation to the time attendance and payroll questions.
- Responsible for collecting, calculating and entering data (both by manual entry and use of various import files).
- Process payroll new hires, terminations/layoffs and other notice of changes.
- Manage direct deposits, benefit withholding, payroll deductions, paid leave, vacation and the monitoring of employee’s hour compliance.
- Prepare monthly union reports.
- Provide support to the other Accounting Department employees.
Requirements
- 3-5 years prior payroll processing experience, large volume
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Must have prior payroll experience
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a structured and efficient manner
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee and company information
