Payroll Administrator

About the role

The ideal candidate will bring strong payroll expertise, a customer-service mindset, and a desire to continuously improve processes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage biweekly payroll processing and related payroll activities.
• Support employee onboarding, payroll records, and benefits administration through Paycor.
• Serve as a resource for employee payroll, benefits, and timekeeping questions.
• Aid in compliance reporting, audits, and payroll-related recordkeeping.
• Partner with Human Resources, the Business Office, and other departments to support accurate payroll operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and leverage system capabilities more effectively.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of payroll administration or related experience.
• Experience with Paycor payroll processing and onboarding is required.
• Experience supporting payroll and benefits in a school, nonprofit, or similarly mission-driven organization preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Knowledge of payroll regulations, reporting requirements, and benefits administration.
• Strong Excel, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Strong customer service mindset and ability to build positive relationships with employees throughout the organization.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: $68,000+ annually, commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: Competitive benefits package including paid time off, paid holidays, retirement benefits, and additional employee programs.
• Employees may also be eligible for a discretionary employer contribution equal to 6.5% of salary to the 403(b) plan after one year of service.
