Payments & Settlement Analyst

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily reconciliation processes including ingestion, normalization, matching, exception handling, and settlement file creation.
• Maintain and enhance canonical ledgers with strong auditability and control frameworks.
• Define and manage exception frameworks, including detection logic, ownership, and SLAs.
• Design and operate monitoring, alerts, and dashboards for reconciliation systems.
• Partner with Engineering to translate business and financial requirements into technical designs.
• Lead development and oversight of AI-driven reconciliation agents and workflows.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure strong financial controls, data lineage, and audit readiness.
• Partner with Finance and FP&A to support settlement cadence and month-end close.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in payments operations, reconciliation, or settlement within FinTech or financial services.
• Strong reconciliation and ledger expertise across card, ACH, and banking ecosystems.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Experience designing or operating AI-driven or rules-based automation in financial workflows.
• Ability to monitor and tune automated systems in production environments.
• Familiarity with operational monitoring, controls, auditability, and data lineage.
• Comfort partnering with engineering, data, and product teams.
• Understanding of AI governance, risk, and explainability requirements.
• Experience leading teams and overseeing human + AI workflows.
• Experience working in FinTech industry is preferred.
