Payment Processor II
About the Role
This position is located in Richmond, VA, and operates within our Paymerang division under the Corporate Payments line of business. As a Payment Processor II, you will assist in the payment automation process by engaging daily with suppliers of Corpay customers to resolve unprocessed payments. The Open Card team handles outbound and inbound calls to report unprocessed payments and facilitate their completion. The role requires strong attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and advanced phone and customer service skills. You will report directly to the Operations Manager and collaborate regularly with other internal departments.
This is a hybrid role with assigned workspace in the Richmond office. Company-issued equipment and formal, hands-on training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Support customers and suppliers through outbound and inbound phone calls to resolve unprocessed or unsettled transactions.
- Educate suppliers on payment processes.
- Manage escalated issues, including misapplied payments and complex payment scenarios.
- Verify contact information and remit-to details for processing electronic payments.
- Accurately enter information into the database and maintain detailed notes of supplier contact and outreach attempts.
- Collaborate with the Recovery team to coordinate refunds and reissues.
- Conduct training sessions for new hires.
- Adhere to strict compliance procedures and maintain confidentiality.
- Perform miscellaneous projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
- Minimum of one year of customer service or data entry experience with customer contact.
- Intermediate computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- Technology Proficiency: Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and data-driven tools. Ability to learn Corpay systems and software, including database products, CRM software (Salesforce), ticketing software (Zendesk), fax, and phone systems.
- Service Orientation and Social Perceptiveness: Awareness of others' reactions and understanding of why they react as they do.

Pay
The expected hourly range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50, based on the candidate’s work location. This range reflects a good faith estimate at the time of posting. The final offer will be determined by job-related factors, including skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable market conditions. Compensation may vary by geographic location and will be confirmed during the hiring process. Additional compensation and benefits, such as incentive programs, health coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off, may also be provided where applicable.
