Patient Transporter - PT, Varies/Rotating

About the role

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center, performs patient‑related activities as assigned, maintains PAR levels for equipment, and uses Epic software to track patient locations and equipment movement.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and equipment safely between departments.
• Perform patient‑related activities as assigned.
• Maintain PAR levels for equipment throughout the facility.
• Work cooperatively with co‑workers in the Patient Transportation Department and other departments.
• Use Epic software to track each patient’s location during transport.
• Use Epic software to track equipment movement throughout the facility.

Requirements

• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) certification.
• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods during each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Two years of customer service experience.

Skills

• Proficient with Epic software for patient and equipment tracking.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Safe patient handling and proper body mechanics.

Schedule
