Patient Transporter - PT, Varies/Rotating

About the role

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient-related activities as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas and to track equipment movement throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely between departments using proper body mechanics
• Perform patient-related activities as assigned
• Maintain PAR levels for equipment across the Medical Center
• Collaborate effectively with coworkers in Patient Transportation and other departments
• Use Epic software to document patient and equipment movements

Requirements

• BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) certification
• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods during each shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Two years of customer service experience

Schedule

Part-time, 12 hours per week. Shift varies/rotating.
