Patient Transporter - PT, Varies/Rotating

About the Role

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient-related activities as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Uses Epic software to track each patient's location and equipment movement throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely between departments using proper body mechanics.
• Maintain PAR levels for equipment in designated areas of the Medical Center.
• Collaborate effectively with co-workers within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments.
• Use Epic software to document patient and equipment movement.

Requirements

• BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) certification.
• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Two years of customer service experience.

Schedule

Part-time, 8 hours per week. Shift varies/rotating.
