Patient Transporter - PRN

Schedule

Minimum 24 hours per month, Variable schedule Monday‑Saturday 9AM‑7PM. Location: Fairlawn, OH. Specialty: Inpatient, Transportation.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely throughout the hospital, including nursing units, diagnostic areas, physician offices, and other care locations.
• Assist with patient transfers, discharges, and movement between beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers.
• Create a welcoming and supportive experience for patients and families through compassionate, customer‑focused service.
• Provide non‑medical assistance and general information to patients and visitors, including wayfinding and transportation support.
• Monitor assigned patients while performing sitter duties, maintaining continuous observation as directed.

Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Previous healthcare, transportation, or customer service experience preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, perform basic math functions, work collaboratively, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Certifications: BLS certification required within six (6) months of hire.
