Patient Transporter Lead (Full Time) Nights
About the role
Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Trains new co-workers on all aspects of the Transport process. Ensures Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout Mercy. Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to track patient and equipment movement throughout the facility. Trains new co-workers to operate Epic correctly. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and guiding principles and Mercy Service Standards. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Trains new co-workers on all aspects of the Transport process.

Requirements
- One year Transporting Experience
- Two years customer Service Experience
- BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) program
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Skills
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
