Patient Transporter (Full Time) Nights

About the Role

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient-related activities as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner using proper body mechanics at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Works collaboratively with co-workers both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments.

Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility and to track equipment movement.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients and equipment between departments
• Maintain PAR levels for equipment throughout the Medical Center
• Use Epic software to document patient and equipment movement
• Perform additional patient-related activities as assigned
• Collaborate with co-workers across departments

Requirements

• BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) certification
• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two years of customer service experience
