Patient Transporter - Nights

Saint Luke’s East is seeking a part-time Patient Transporter to join our team.

About the role

The Service Associate functions as a Patient Transporter, moving patients by wheelchair or car throughout the hospital for various reasons. Responsibilities include utilizing infection prevention techniques, patient transfer methods, and knowledge of appropriate routes to ensure safe and efficient patient movement.

Responsibilities

• Move patients safely and efficiently using wheelchairs or cars
• Utilize infection prevention techniques and proper patient transfer methods
• Maintain good communication with nursing and clinical staff
• Recognize when to ask for help or continued guidance
• Maintain and protect the integrity of patients' tubes, lines, and collection devices
• Move patient valuables and equipment as needed

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience

Schedule

• 32 hours per week
• Set schedule: 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
• Must be able to work this shift permanently
• Holiday rotation required
