Patient Transporter (Full Time)

About the role

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient‑related activities as assigned, ensuring patients are transported safely with proper body mechanics at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment throughout the Medical Center and collaborates with co‑workers across departments. Uses Epic software to track patient locations and equipment movement throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and equipment between departments safely and efficiently
• Perform assigned patient‑related activities using proper body mechanics
• Maintain PAR (Periodic Automatic Replenishment) levels for equipment in various locations
• Collaborate effectively with team members in Patient Transportation and other departments
• Track patient locations and equipment movement using Epic software

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Experience: Two years of customer service experience (preferred)
• Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) program required
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • Prolonged standing and walking during each shift
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
