Patient Support Services Nurse (Bilingual English/Spanish)

About the role

This part-time position (10 hours/week) provides and oversees indirect patient care in accordance with established provider protocols/orders. The role utilizes knowledge of medications, lab values, procedures, infection control, and safety precautions, and initiates appropriate intervention in crisis situations. It also manages medication refill requests and other clinical support requests daily.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes knowledge of medications, lab values, procedures, infection control, and safety precautions, and initiates appropriate intervention in crisis situations.
• Manages medication refill requests and other clinical support requests daily.
• Participates in continuous quality management, analyzes information, tracks and reports PN outcome data, attends appropriate leadership meetings, develops infection surveillance processes, and participates in Joint Commission Accreditation maintenance.

Requirements

• Requires a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Utah.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Computer literacy.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to interact, relate to, and communicate well with clinic staff and providers.
• Bilingual capabilities (Spanish-English) are helpful.
