Patient Service Representative - Bilingual English and Spanish

Typical Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner.
• Schedule appointments and reschedule no-show appointments.
• Verify insurance information through managed care website.
• Register patients, assign primary care provider (when applicable), check and maintain accurate demographic information, update information as necessary.
• Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and take messages for providers.
• Collect co-pays and process payments as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Helps to maintain charts and provide administrative support to the department.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure excellent patient care.

Preferred Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of experience in clerical/administrative functions, preferably in a medical office or healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Starting Compensation

$19.50 per hour based on 40 hours per week ($40,560 annualized).

Schedule Requirements

• This is an on-site position for any of our health center locations.
• Candidates must have flexibility to work a 5-day workweek, which may include:
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM with rotating Saturdays (8am to 5pm).
• Schedules vary based on business and operational needs.
• Rotating Saturday schedules are provided in advance to support planning.
