This role functions as a member of the patient care team, performing clinical tasks and procedures to support care delivery and promote efficient use of the physician's time, as well as all clerical duties required for patient check-in/check-out.
Responsibilities
- Complete initial intake and follow-up calls with patients via inbound and outbound calls/dialer to identify and resolve patient concerns within the process or product.
- Process requests for prescription refills according to established practice.
- Promptly and accurately report and refer patient concerns, symptoms, reactions, or changes (appropriate to age) to licensed clinic personnel.
- Schedule, edit, and maintain patient physician appointments for new and returning patients using the scheduling system.
- Respond to inquiries from patients, relatives, and referring physicians about services, providing accurate information in a timely fashion.
- Act as a patient advocate, coordinator, and liaison for Bay Area Foot Care in dealing with the community.
- Serve as a non-clinical liaison/concierge/navigator for referred patients before, during, or after an encounter with Bay Area Foot Care.
- Perform clerical duties, including meeting or exceeding monthly departmental goals set by operations management.
- Adhere to phone activity and compliance standards, including HIPAA, ACW, and minimum call volume requirements.
Requirements
- Knowledge of clinical staffing, office organization operations, and functions, including use of computer word processing and database applications.
- Excellent communication skills by telephone, in person, and in writing.
- Ability to multitask and maintain records and information.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or equivalent preferred).
- 1+ year of customer service experience.
- 1+ year of medical office experience preferred.
- Fluent Spanish speaking.

Pay
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
