About the role

The Patient Support Representative must be friendly, cheerful, and professional with a strong work ethic and excellent communication and people skills. This person must speak and understand English fluently and understand alphabetical and numerical filing systems. The Patient Support Representative understands medical terminology. The Patient Support Representative is a fast learner, able to quickly and clearly understand clinic guidelines and procedures relating to patient service, telephone management and scheduling. The Patient Support Representative is responsible for accurate data entry. The Patient Support Representative follows all federal and state laws regarding the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) with special regards to patient privacy.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate well and have the ability to listen to patient requests and provide assistance.
  • Adhere to the clinic dress code.
  • Access the patient electronic medical record (EMR) to the extent of viewing and printing patient demographic and medical records for the purpose of locating files, answering patient inquiries, printing records and scanning records.

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or GED equivalent education.
  • Ability to meet minimum hospital hiring standards.
  • One (1) year of experience.

Pay and Benefits

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $20.27 - $29.16 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
