About the role
The 11:30 AM - 8 PM ET shift is required for this role. As a Patient Support Nurse, you will serve as the primary contact for program patients, assessing barriers to successful therapy initiation and completion. You will play an active role with each patient from enrollment through treatment, facilitating a timely and successful experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a consistent resource throughout the continuum of program services, identifying barriers to therapy and helping patients understand and navigate them.
- Act as an educator with knowledge and practical experience about clinical treatments, including the emotional and financial implications of new diagnoses, chronic conditions, or life-threatening illnesses.
- Provide patients with information and education about:
- Their prescribed therapy and course of treatment, including benefits and known side effects per manufacturer product information.
- Proper administration and dosing of prescribed therapy.
- Insurance coverage benefits, anticipated out-of-pocket costs, and resources for financial assistance based on patient needs.
- Support to help manage the stress associated with their diagnosis.
- Empower patients to participate in their personal care process by triaging them to additional support programs, such as social or other interventions.
- Report Adverse Events and Product Complaints in accordance with SOPs and good manufacturer practices.
- Utilize Valeris’ values as the driving force behind the team’s success.
- Maintain on-time adherence to training deadlines for all corporate policies and procedures.
- Ensure consistent compliance with all SOPs.
- Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have active RN licensure in your current state of practice.
- 2-3 years of nursing experience; relevant disease state experience preferred.
- Experience in Nurseline triage, Call Center Utilization Management, Call Center Case Management, or as a Clinical Trial Nurse is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Remote work eligibility is subject to meeting all work-from-home criteria and business need.
- Ability to type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy.
- Flexibility to travel as needed (minimal).

- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to sit for long periods, use hands to type, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Operates in a professional office environment, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
