Patient Services Team Lead (TEQ PSC)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled, knowledgeable, and organized phlebotomist to support site direction and patient focus at our Tempe patient service center location. This position is actively responsible for an assigned department, serving as the initial resource and communication liaison between immediate staff, other departments, and Patient Services management. The role assists, resolves issues, and reports under the guidance of the area Supervisor, performing technical or administrative work at an advanced level of competency and efficiency.

You will be actively involved with patient and process quality improvement while remaining compliant with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource and communication liaison between staff, departments, and management.
  • Perform advanced-level technical or administrative tasks with efficiency and competence.
  • Support patient and process quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrate leadership and problem-solving skills in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience within a clinical laboratory in phlebotomy or test management.
  • Advanced computer skills and working knowledge of regulatory, accrediting, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent customer service, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform complex problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous management experience or participation in management training programs.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • National phlebotomy certification.

Additional Notes

  • Placement in the Mobile/Long Term Care department requires ADHS Fingerprinting Certification or the ability to obtain it.
  • IOP placement requires execution of a “Confidential Information and Restrictive Covenant Agreement.”
  • May require a valid driver’s license and eligibility for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.
