Patient Services Specialist II- Valley Ortho
Valley View's Valley Ortho clinic is looking for a Patient Service Specialist II to join our team. This is a full-time, day shift position.
Responsibilities
- Provides patients and physicians with professional and friendly reception duties.
- Organizes patient flow, keeping physicians and patients on schedule.
- Maintains patient files and accounts in a professionally accurate manner.
- Screens office manager, physician and nurse calls, handling appropriately.
- Cross-trains in PCT/CNA/MA role.
- Performs all clinical duties per licensed health care provider or delegation of a registered nurse, designated specifically by the clinic.
- Provides assistance to licensed health care providers and nursing staff for general patient assessments, rooming patients, procedures, treatments, filing/retrieving medical records, and general office clerical duties.
- Performs patient care tasks following clinic standards of care as defined in policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association preferred or obtained within 3 months of hire.
- Required to successfully complete Assessment-Based Recognition (ABR) program in order entry for electronic health records (EHR’s), within 30 days of hire or a current CO CNA License or current RMA/CMA Certification.
- Two years in a reception or clerical field.
Skills
- Clerical: typing, filing, scheduling, computer, phone, and people skills.
- Excellent customer service skills; strong computer skills.
- Phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Laboratory and/or X-ray experience preferred.
Pay
Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience. Wage range: $20.00 - $28.87/hour.
