Patient Services Specialist for GI Endoscopy Centers in Oregon City and Tualatin

Responsibilities

• Check in and out new/established patients.
• Promote efficient physician scheduling and patient access by properly scheduling/rescheduling patients’ appointments and/or surgeries according to all office protocols and physician requests in an efficient and timely manner.
• Obtain and complete insurance information.
• Answer phones on a multi-line system.
• Process incoming referrals and electronic fax submissions.
• Update registration and EMR records as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of work experience, preferably in a medical office; specialty care GI experience is a plus.
• Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in Surgery or other complex scheduling is preferred.
• Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred; Epic experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with insurance and referral processes.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
• Excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
• Commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Pay

Hiring range, based on experience and credentials:

• Level I: $19.59 - $26.51 per hour.
• Level II: $21.55 - $29.16 per hour.
• Level III: $23.71 - $32.07 per hour.

Schedule

This role is a float position for our South Endoscopy Centers in Oregon City and Tualatin. Typical hours are Monday-Friday (6:15 am - 3:15 pm OR 7:00 am - 4:00 pm).
