Patient Services Specialist for General Surgery & Burn Specialists Clinic in N Portland

The Oregon Clinic is seeking a full-time (36 hours per week) Patient Services Specialist to join our collaborative team at the General Surgery & Burn Specialists Clinic in North Portland. In this role, you will contribute to our mission of delivering world-class care with kindness and empathy while providing a consistent, efficient, and easy experience for patients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Check in and out new and established patients, ensuring efficient and timely scheduling.
• Obtain and complete insurance information.
• Answer phones on a multi-line system.
• Manage inbound referrals.
• Update registration and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) records as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of work experience, preferably in a medical office or clinical setting; specialty care experience is a strong plus.
• Prior experience in complex healthcare scheduling is preferred.
• Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred; Epic experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with insurance and referral processes.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate work independently and multitask effectively.
• Excellent attendance and strong work ethic.
• Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and team members.
• Commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Pay

Hiring range, based on experience and credentials:

• Level I: $19.59 - $26.51 per hour.
• Level II: $21.55 - $29.16 per hour.
• Level III: $23.71 - $32.07 per hour.

Schedule

This role is located at the Legacy Emanuel Medical Office Building 2. Typical hours are 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday (8:30 am - 5:00 pm).
