Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Patient Services Representatives to join our healthcare team. As a Patient Services Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients and play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience. You will handle various administrative tasks and provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all required forms and information are accurately collected and entered into the system.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, coordinating with healthcare providers to optimize patient flow.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients and medical staff, providing accurate information and assistance.
- Handle billing and insurance processing, verifying patient insurance coverage and ensuring accurate billing records.
- Assist patients with completing necessary paperwork and provide guidance on office policies and procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all health privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient care and efficient office operations.
- Address and resolve any patient concerns or issues in a professional and empathetic manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic office software.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills and a patient-centered approach to service.
- Bilingual skills a plus, but not required.
