Patient Services Representative and Rehabilitation Technician

About the role

The Patient Services Representative/Rehabilitation Technician is the initial point of contact for patients. Key responsibilities include greeting patients, answering calls, scheduling, assisting with registration, communicating benefits, collecting payments, and running reports.

Responsibilities

• Track and communicate patient information
• Perform and complete end of month cleaning, daily temperature logs, and maintain clinic inventory
• Support patient care and therapeutic activities under the direction of therapists
• Prepare and clean treatment areas and equipment
• Support in emergency situations at other Tidelands Health locations
• Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma with college or specialized training
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Experience with insurance payer regulations preferred
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred
• Prior experience with authorizations and scheduling appointments, rehabilitation preferred

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified - American Heart Association
