About the role
The Patient Service Representative (PSR) is the initial point of contact for patients and visitors. Their role involves managing front desk operations and ensuring a positive and seamless patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments, processing documentation, and managing patient information.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, especially when entering patient information and processing documents.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients and visitors, demonstrating empathy, patience, and tact in handling inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy policies and procedures.
- Work under pressure, handling unexpected situations with professionalism and composure.
- Attend and complete Clinic Core Front Desk Training post-hire.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills, including data entry and word processing.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Adaptability and ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Physical requirements include the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, stand and walk during each shift, and perform duties requiring gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.
Qualifications
- One year of applicable medical office experience preferred.
