Are you a people-focused leader who thrives on solving problems, communicating with confidence, and keeping a busy healthcare practice running smoothly? We’re looking for a Patient Service Coordinator Lead who brings energy, professionalism, compassion, and strong leadership to the clinics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide back-up support to the Clinic Administrator in the daily operations of the practice’s business office functions.
  • Serve as a lead resource for Patient Service Coordinators and provide guidance and support with daily administrative operations.
  • Ensure patient demographics, insurance information, charges, and collections are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently while helping optimize clinic schedules and patient access.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming, professional experience for patients and families.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, providers, coworkers, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Use strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve scheduling, registration, insurance, billing, and patient-service concerns.
  • Assist with resolving escalated patient concerns and determine when issues should be referred to the Clinic Administrator or appropriate department.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when handling confidential patient and financial information.
  • Cross-train in multiple administrative support functions to ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of business office operations.
  • Assist team members with questions, workflow challenges, and administrative processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Minimum of three years of clerical experience in medical office setting, required. Other related experience may be considered in lieu of medical office experience.

Skills

  • Knowledge of medical office software for updating patient demographic information, posting charges, copays, and scheduling patient appointments.
  • Understanding of CPT and ICD10-CM coding processes.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with changing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to function as part of a team.
  • Possess initiative.
  • Basic medical terminology required; knowledge can be obtained through formal classes or work experience.
