PATIENT SERVICE TECH - CMV
About the role
The Patient Service Technician delivers and picks up equipment from homecare patients, sets up equipment, assists with problem-solving, schedules deliveries, loads/unloads equipment, complies with regulations, completes paperwork, maintains vehicle logs, responds to emergencies, cleans/repairs equipment, performs routine maintenance, and reports malfunctions.
Responsibilities
- Delivers and picks up equipment from homecare patients.
- Sets up equipment and instructs patients on its use.
- Assists patients with equipment issues.
- Schedules and organizes daily deliveries and pickups.
- Loads and unloads durable medical or infusion equipment, oxygen, and medical supplies onto delivery vehicle.
- Complies with all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Completes necessary paperwork including daily logs, pick-up and delivery forms, reimbursement documents, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Distributes paperwork to appropriate personnel.
- Notifies supervisor of safety concerns in patient homes.
- Performs routine vehicle maintenance and reports malfunctions.
- Responds to emergency delivery calls as needed.
- Maintains daily vehicle maintenance logs and incident reports.
- Ensures vehicles are in proper working condition.
- Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.
Requirements
- Education and/or experience: High school diploma or equivalent, at least one-year related work experience, minimum of three years driving history.
- Age: At least 21 years old.
- Licenses: Valid Driver’s license, successful completion of Apria Healthcare's Driver Training Program.
- Regulatory compliance: Compliance with D.O.T., F.D.A., and Joint Commission regulations.
