Patient Service Specialist - Medical Front Office

About the role

We are seeking a Patient Service Specialist to join our team. This is an entry-level position that requires someone who is organized, adaptable, and able to work well with others or independently. The candidate will be required to travel to other locations as needed and provide outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Process referrals and schedule patients
• Complete the intake process and data entry
• Verify insurance and obtain authorizations
• Review benefits with patients and collect copays
• Greet patients and answer phones
• Operate the front office of outpatient centers and support therapists and therapy assistants
• Daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits

Requirements

• HS diploma or GED is required
• Preferred experience in customer service, insurance verification, and healthcare, medical, or dental office administration

Pay

Compensation depends upon candidate’s years of experience and internal equity, with a starting salary of $18-$25 per hour based on experience.

Schedule

Hours vary between Monday - Friday, 7am - 7pm.
