Patient Service Specialist (PSS)

Responsibilities

• Process referrals, schedule patients, complete the intake process, and perform data entry.
• Verify patient insurance, obtain required authorizations, explain benefits, financial responsibilities, billing, and outpatient policies.
• Collect toward patient responsibility at each visit.
• Scan and maintain medical documents.
• Reconcile and post charges daily and manage other reporting to ensure clean claim processing.
• Respond to all requests for information from patients, other departments, and physicians.
• Maintain the office, order supplies, and manage mail.
• Support treatment adherence by coordinating patient appointments and minimizing cancellations.
• Register patient information, ensuring all forms are complete with signatures and accurate information documented in the electronic medical record.
• Works independently or collaboratively with others as needed.

Requirements

• HS diploma or GED.
• Preferred experience in customer service and healthcare, medical, or dental office administration.

Qualifications

• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Flexible and able to work well with others or independently.
• A self-starter who provides outstanding customer service and gets things done.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of insurance verification processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits

• Varying hours on Monday through Friday, 7am - 7pm.
• Per diem position.
• Travel to multiple outpatient clinics in the Southlake, Grapevine, Keller, Argyle, Coppell, and Flower Mound areas.

• Varies based on experience and qualifications.
