About the role
Full-time Patient Service Specialist position at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Irving, TX. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM; flexibility to open or close as needed is required.
Responsibilities
- Travel to other locations as needed
- Process referrals and schedule patients
- Complete the intake process and perform data entry
- Conduct insurance verification and obtain authorizations
- Review benefits with patients and collect copays
- Arrive and schedule patients, generate billing reports, and complete closing reports
- Greets patients
- Answers phones
- Patient intake and data entry
- Insurance verification and pre-authorization
- Schedules patient appointments
- Operates front office of outpatient centers
- Supports therapists and therapy assistants
- Daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
Qualifications
- Customer service experience
- Knowledge of insurance verification
- Healthcare, medical, or dental office administration experience preferred
Pay
Compensation depends on years of experience and internal equity. Starting salary ranges from $18 to $25 per hour based on experience.
