The Patient Service Representative plays a crucial role in creating a positive patient experience. They work closely with physicians and clinical staff to handle administrative tasks such as checking in patients, collecting co-pays, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance eligibility. The ideal candidate should be friendly, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Check in patients for appointments
- Collect patient co-pays
- Answer telephones and take accurate messages
- Schedule appointments
- Verify and update patient and insurance information
- Use EPIC to update required information
- Communicate with patients and families
- Provide superior customer service
- Utilize independent decision-making skills
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience
- Healthcare experience preferred
- EHR experience a plus
- Medical terminology preferred
- Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferred

Pay
This Full-Time position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The Patient Service Representative works Monday through Friday from 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM. The position is based at the STARS Curtis Clinic but will float to support other 16 STARS clinics in the Treasure Valley, primarily focusing on rehabilitative services: PT, OT, and SLP.
