Patient Service Rep. - Float

Olympic Sports & Spine (OSS) is looking for a Patient Service Representative – Float to provide “fill-in” coverage at all 24 clinics. This role is ideal if you enjoy working with diverse groups of people, adapt quickly to new environments, and are a proactive medical scheduler experienced in resolving scheduling issues. In addition, OSS is offering an $8,000 pay differential for this position to reflect our appreciation and understanding of the commitment required to work at any OSS location.
Responsibilities
- Process all activity related to OSS’s patient services, including patient phone calls, scheduling, insurance verification, follow-up, maintaining charts, filing, and communication with referral sources.
- Manage all aspects of high-volume patient scheduling:
- Receive incoming patient phone calls.
- Collect necessary information from patients for treatment and billing purposes.
- Verify insurance and obtain necessary authorizations if required.
- Fax appropriate paperwork to referral sources.
- Scan documents into the patient's account.
- Build and maintain all patient charts.
- Collect any money owed from patients, balance all money nightly, and print reports.
- Pull charts for the next day's appointments and make reminder calls.
- Communicate with OSS staff through Outlook email.
- Communicate closely with billing and treating staff to resolve any patient issues.
- Open and sort mail daily.
- Participate in educational activities and attend monthly staff meetings.
- Perform related duties as required.
Schedule
This is a full-time position; 40 hours per week are guaranteed. This job requires working Monday – Friday (no weekends); work hours may vary, but will begin no earlier than 7:00 a.m. and end no later than 6:20 p.m.
