About the role
The Patient Service Representative is primarily responsible for ensuring high-quality customer service and continuation of care. The Patient Service Representative performs typical front-office functions and referrals, under the overall on-site supervision of the Addiction Medicine Practice Administrator.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and clear communication with patients to promote continuity of care and follow-up.
- Retrieve, scan, and file clinical encounter forms and reports daily for use by clinic staff during patient care activities.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED (must be conferred on or before agreed-upon start date).
- Previous front-office and insurance experience in a health clinic setting or equivalent experience.
Skills
- Knowledge of insurance processes and front-office operations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining high-quality patient care.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems as needed.
