Patient Service Representative - Health Centers - 32/hrs each week

About the role

Responsible for accurate and timely registration of all Health Center patients. This position is part of a team-based approach to care, where team members are trained to meet the highest level of function for their role according to State of Tennessee/Georgia guidelines.

Assigned responsibilities include coordinating care for patients, supporting patients, families, and caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy, and behavior change, and managing the practice's patient population. Participates in the practice's quality improvement process and performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely registration of patients
• Obtain and witness consent for treatment and reimbursement
• Post charges and make deposits
• Verify insurance and collect money and payments
• Maintain daily reconciliation list

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED
• Minimum of two years experience in a business setting requiring customer interface
• Previous clerical experience

Qualifications

• Preferred: Previous hospital admitting and/or business office experience
