About the role

The Advanced Patient Services Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic practice by managing patient interactions, administrative tasks, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient interactions and administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Use basic computer skills, including data entry and word processing.
  • Provide excellent customer service by being empathetic, patient-focused, and handling inquiries and concerns with tact and diplomacy.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when entering patient information, scheduling appointments, and processing documentation.
  • Handle patient concerns, complaints, and issues with professionalism and composure, escalating complex problems to appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, stand and walk during each shift, and perform duties involving gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in both Patient Services Representative and Advance Patient Services Representative competencies, as verified by department leader.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance practices, and billing procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and word processing.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Adaptability and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Problem resolution skills.
