Patient Service Rep - Otolaryngology

About the role

Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. The hospital is seeking a Patient Service Representative to assist with clerical and reception responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate clerical and reception responsibilities
• Aid in the registration process
• Update and create patients’ medical records
• Process professional/technical fees generated by department providers accurately and timely
• Handle cash transactions and collections

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills
• One (1) year of clerical support experience in a health care setting or related experience
• Sensitivity and helpfulness
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision
• A commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people

Qualifications

• Basic medical terminology
• EPIC experience preferred
