Patient Scheduler - Sleep Clinic

Patient Scheduler position at the Sleep Clinic, located at University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Full-time role, 40 hours per week, scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

About the role

As a Patient Scheduler, you’ll be the first point of contact for our patients, guiding them through every step of their visit—from scheduling their appointment to checking them in and ensuring their visit goes smoothly. You’ll be a key player in making sure everything runs like clockwork in the front desk area while keeping patient records accurate and up-to-date.

Responsibilities

• Be the first friendly face: assist patients with scheduling, check-in, registration, check-out, and ensure they have a seamless experience from start to finish.
• Manage patient flow: help keep the clinic running smoothly by managing the flow of patients, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling and check-ins.
• Accurate record keeping: ensure all patient demographic and financial information is accurately entered into our system.
• Communication pro: answer all phone calls, respond to patient requests, and explain health benefits, financial obligations, and our organization’s Discount Policy with clarity.
• Be the scheduling guru: take charge of the clinic schedule, ensuring it’s effective, organized, and optimized for the best patient experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of customer service experience, with clear and effective communication skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer hardware and software, including patient management systems.
• Detail-oriented, with a focus on maintaining accurate patient records and verifying information correctly.
