Patient Scheduler - Medical Imaging
About the Role
The Medical Imaging Scheduler provides a wide range of routine to moderately complex support tasks for medical imaging, prioritizing multiple tasks during high volumes. Responsibilities include scheduling outpatient imaging services for CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Radiology, as well as all imaging services generated through the emergency department. Scheduling requires an understanding of optimal patient flow, imaging procedures, laboratory testing, and patient history requirements for imaging procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree --or-- Equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with an emphasis in healthcare preferred
- Six months to one year of related experience and/or training in a health care-related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Terminology Certification or successful completion of a Medical Terminology course within 6 months (180 days) of hire
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting (e.g., physician's office, scheduler, etc.)
- Experience in obtaining insurance verifications, referrals, and authorizations
- Medical imaging experience
Pay
$30.30 - $45.57. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
