Patient Safety Associate Behavioral Health-Adult Dual DX 1B Cleve Hts

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam
• 2 years of experience working in a Behavioral Health setting, corrections or healthcare facility, or other related experience
• Training in WELLE or obtained within 90 days of hire
• Possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or obtain it within 90 days of hire
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Capacity to manage stressful situations, problem-solve quickly, and react appropriately during psychiatric emergencies
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
• Preferred: Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, or another related field from an accredited institution
• Experience working as a security guard
• Experience as a trainer or educator, particularly on topics regarding safety and de-escalation
