Behavioral Health Technician
Responsibilities
- Support participants in a range of therapeutic activities that relate to each participant's Individual Treatment Plan.
- Implement the participant's treatment plan in accordance with the written protocols.
- Collect data to document services provided, obtaining parent/caregiver signatures and collecting other relevant documentation.
- Actively participate in monthly meetings and supervision with direct supervisor and treatment team.
- Build rapport and maintain clinical boundaries with participants and families.
- Work collaboratively with the family in conjunction with other members of the treatment team.
- Work closely with the supervising Behavior Analyst to provide input on response to treatment and progress.
- Submit accurate clinical documentation within specified time frames.
- Record data within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Participate in clinical supervision and training.
- Maintain billable hours, as assigned.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or the equivalent with 2+ years' experience as a BHT.
- Have completed or be willing to complete RBT Training.
- Abide by code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- Commitment to maintain client and family confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA laws and internal policies and procedures.
Working Conditions
- Hours vary from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm with the possibility of evening and weekend hours.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to physically manage clients in the event of a crisis or emergency.
- Assume and maintain a variety of postures (sitting, kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
