Patient Registration Representative Location: Mesa, AZ Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a Patient Registration Representative to join our busy outpatient surgery center in Mesa, AZ. Our facility handles approximately 700-800 surgical cases per month, making this a fast-paced and patient-focused environment. The ideal candidate will be professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional customer service while supporting patients and clinical staff.This role is responsible for managing front-desk operations, patient registration, insurance verification, and administrative support. Candidates with prior healthcare, medical office, or patient registration experience are highly preferred. Schedule Flexible availability requiredTypical shifts begin as early as 6:00 AMAdditional scheduling flexibility may be needed based on business and patient volume demands Key Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and compassionate mannerCheck patients in and assist with the registration processAnswer a high volume of incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriatelyAssist patients with completing registration and intake paperworkVerify insurance eligibility and coverage informationEnsure patient demographics and medical information are accurate and currentMaintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulationsOrganize and maintain patient records and documentationProvide administrative and clerical support to the surgery center teamCollaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flowDeliver exceptional customer service in a high-volume healthcare environment Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalentStrong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skillsExcellent multitasking and organizational abilitiesAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStable and reliable work history demonstrating dependability and consistencyAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionallyReliable transportation and ability to commute to the Mesa, AZ area Preferred Previous experience in healthcare, medical offices, outpatient surgery centers, or patient registrationExperience with insurance verification and patient intake processesFamiliarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systemsKnowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare administrative procedures Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a dependable professional who thrives in a busy healthcare setting, enjoys interacting with patients, and can effectively balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and compassion.Join our team and help create a positive patient experience while supporting the success of a high-volume outpatient surgery center.
