Patient Registration Rep
Department: MFS Admissions. Location: Millard Fillmore Suburban, Williamsville, NY. Work Type: Part-Time, Benefit Eligible.
About the role
Under the direction of the Site Manager or Supervisor, Patient Access Services, this position is responsible for completing inpatient and outpatient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, financial clearance, chart preparation, and creating the first impression of Kaleida Health's services to patients, family members, and other external customers. Additional duties include interviewing patients/guarantors to obtain demographic and confidential clinical and financial information necessary to schedule, register, obtain treatment authorizations, and verify insurance eligibility and corresponding benefit levels. The role also requires gathering and recording all appropriate information, consents, and forms that lay the groundwork for future fiscal efforts.
Responsibilities
- Complete inpatient and outpatient scheduling
- Perform patient registration
- Conduct insurance verification
- Handle financial clearance processes
- Prepare charts
- Create the first impression of Kaleida Health's services
- Interview patients/guarantors to obtain demographic, clinical, and financial information
- Obtain treatment authorizations
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefit levels
- Gather and record consents, forms, and other necessary information
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of clerical experience within the last 3 years
- Successful completion of a data entry assessment
Qualifications
- 1 year of Kaleida Health registration experience within the last three years (preferred)

Pay
Salary range: $21.40 – $31.91 per hour. Pay frequency: Bi‑weekly. Wage will be determined based on candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
