Patient Registration Rep.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the integrity of health records by accurately inputting and retrieving information in the Electronic Medical Record system.
• Schedule appointments, complete pre-registration tasks, verify demographic and insurance information, and ensure accurate billing.
• Identify the need for clinical healthcare staff triage when necessary.
• Collaborate with the patient care team, provide care coordination services, and contribute to Quality Improvement activities.
• Process prior authorizations, referrals, and provide specialist resource information.
• Track and log patient data accurately.
• Attend required meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
• A minimum of one year of customer service experience in a healthcare setting is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy are preferred qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• An associates degree in a related field is preferred.
• A strong knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Three years of experience in high-level customer service and relevant healthcare roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• This role involves periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and may include lifting up to ten pounds.
• Evening or weekend work may be required, and there may be job-related stress associated with the position.
