This is a Part Time position at 28 hours per week located at Lake Forest Hospital for the Neurosurgery clinic.

Schedule

Monday 8:30A-5P, Tuesday 8:30A-5P, Thursday 8:30A-5P, Friday 8A-12P.

Responsibilities

• Registers and schedules patients for surgical and pre-operative procedures.
• Informs patients of their financial responsibilities.
• Provides patients with surgical and procedural information and instructions as appropriate.
• Obtains and/or facilitates pre-certification as required.
• Maintains calendars and schedules related to surgical and pre-operative procedures.
• Answers all incoming patient inquiries.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2 years previous healthcare experience.
• Experience in a customer service role.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred: Previous experience with an electronic medical records system.
