Patient Experience Improvement and Transformation Specialist
Job Summary
The Patient Experience Improvement and Transformation Specialist supports patient experience initiatives and interventions to ensure consistency and exceptional care. They assist the Patient Experience Director in developing and implementing strategies to enhance patient experience and provide necessary tools and support.
Essential Functions
- Analyze experience of care surveys and other patient feedback data to identify key areas for improvement.
- Lead or support department level initiatives using structured process improvement and change management principles and tools.
- Provide hands-on coaching and mentoring to clinical staff to enhance empathy and communication skills.
- Round on patients and families to address concerns and improve service delivery.
- Aid in delivering training programs focused on quality, compassionate care.
- Support local patient experience champions and collaborate in patient experience meetings.
- Help clinical caregivers understand and apply patient experience feedback to improve care.
- Foster a culture of empathy and inclusivity among caregivers.
- Promote patient-centered care by engaging with patients and families for continuous feedback.
Required Additional Requirements
- Completion of a clinical degree program.
- 3+ years of clinical experience.
- Preferred completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) certification from the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
Physical Requirements
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
