Patient Experience Advocate I
About the role
The Patient Experience Advocate works at Olympic Medical Center, located on the picturesque North Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. The area offers a variety of recreational activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, and cycling. The office is situated near the Olympic National Park, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and the Pacific Coast, with Seattle and Victoria, BC nearby.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and appropriate assistance and support services to patients, families, and staff in the Patient Experience Department.
- Support patient satisfaction efforts through staff training, promotion of initiatives, satisfaction survey processes, and handling patient complaints.
- Ensure compliance with regulations regarding patient rights and grievances.
- Assist with special projects and the general operations of the department.
- Minimize risks to the organization related to patient dissatisfaction, which could lead to lost business or reputation damage, and potential patient claims.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- An associate degree is preferred.
- Two years of relevant experience in healthcare, customer service, or social work/social service are required.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred for medical interpretation purposes.
